Briana Baez-Villatoro, M.A. CCC-SLP

Briana Baez-Villatoro, M.A. CCC-SLP is a nationally certified bilingual speech and language pathologist with extensive experience in evaluating and providing speech – language therapy to children ages 5-21.
She has practiced in public and private schools, outpatient rehabilitation clinics, psychiatric hospitals and child development centers in the NYC tri-state area and in the Connecticut Fairfield area. She has experience with Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) and representing families and children at Parent Placement Team meetings (PPT). Through her experience working in diverse and often challenging settings, she has developed a successful therapeutic model by directly collaborating with the most important individuals involved in a child’s development.
By working in conjunction with families, teachers and healthcare providers, she ensures goals are met and each child reaches maximum potential through an engaged and dynamic approach.
Briana currently holds a license to practice in the state of Connecticut and New York. She graduated cum laude in 2018 with a Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York.
She is currently certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and has been trained in Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT), Lindamood Bell Reading programs and Orton Gillingham Reading program. Additionally, she completed a bilingual extension program at Teachers college at Columbia University in 2019.
She has over 200 hours of continuing education and has volunteered for various nonprofits dedicated to helping low-income families and children with special needs access more resources in the community and internationally.
